Ferrell
Jenkins has been conducting study tours to the Bible lands almost annually since
1967, and has visited most of the area where the events recorded in the Bible
took place. His travels have taken him to Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon,
Iraq, Turkey, Greece, Italy and Cyprus as well as other places in Europe and the
Orient.
Jenkins
is author of the books "Old Testament in the Book of Revelation", "Introduction
to Christian Evidences", "The Theme of the Bible", "The Early Church", "Biblical
Authority"
and several other works. He is a noted lecturer on archaeology and
the Bible.
In 1980
he was a member of the institutional staff of the Lachish (Israel)
Archaeological Expedition, and has been a member of the American School of
Oriental Research and the Near East Archaeological Society.
He is
listed in Who's Who in Religion and Who's Who in Biblical Studies and
Archaeology. Jenkins retired as chair of Biblical Studies at Florida
College, Temple Terrace, Florida, in May, 2001. In the past few years he has
made study tours to Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Israel, Egypt, Greece and Turkey.
