Ferrell Jenkins,
retired Chair of Biblical Studies at Florida College, is a well-respected Bible
scholar
and author. An accomplished public
speaker, he has devoted his life to studying the archaeology of the middle east
and how it ties directly to the Bible. He is the author of several noteworthy works, including Introduction to Christian Evidences
and The Early Church and is listed on the international Who's Who
in Biblical Studies & Archaeology.
His travels have taken him to Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq,
Turkey, Greece, Italy, Malta and Cyprus-- what we generally call "the Bible
lands."
We are pleased to be able to provide this lecture
free of charge to the public by the
Mountain View church of Christ in Cumming, Georgia. There will be no
admission nor request for offering.
This will decidedly NOT be a dry lecture! His lessons
each evening will be illustrated with pictures
taken in the Bible lands as well as interesting facts that tie portions of the Bible
each evening to
archaeological findings, from the Old Testament through the New. His
lectures have been designed for both the serious student of the Bible as well as
beginners. The materials presented will be appropriate for older
children through adults, and there will be a question and answer period to allow
you to ask specific questions.
Please note the topics each evening-- if
one or two topics are of particular interest to you, please mark them on your
calendar.
Jenkins maintains a popular Travel Blog about
his travels in the Bible world.
